Description
This course provides test leaders and testing managers with the main definitions, ideas, processes, tools and skills they need in order to exercise risk based testing in their projects and organizations.This course covers the major concepts of risk based testing and risk management. During the course, the methodology behind the RBT concept will be discussed, examples and excel tool templates will be provided to assist participants in their work.The risk based testing process is presented through theory, examples and exercises that are focused on risk based testing Identification, Selection & Planning – on one hand, and Mitigating, Tracking and Controlling – on the other hand.
Objectives
Through presentation, discussion, and examples, participants will learn to:

  • Understand the concepts of Risk Management
  • Describe Risk Based Testing principals
  • Understand what language Risk propose in day to day life, and why should we talk like that
  • Define where Risk Based Testing can assist in the testing life cycle
  • Learn how to define Risk Analysis for the different testing topics (template EXCEL tool is provided)
  • Discuss test planning strategy issues in regards to Risk Based Testing
  • Discuss test execution strategy issues and Risk Based Testing

This is not an introductory course, and participants should be familiar with/have knowledge on:

Speaker
Mr. Alon Linetzki is the founder and managing director of training and consulting company Best- Testing (www.best-testing.com).
 
Mr. Linetzki has more than 16 years in testing and over 26 years in IT, and is the author of multiple testing courses, including: TPI in a day, Risk Based Testing, Personal Communication and presentation Skills, ISTQB CTFL, Pragmatic Advanced Testing, Introduction to Test Automation and more.During his long years of experience, Mr. Linetzki has trained and coached over 900 students, in more than 30 companies.He is a Certified Scrum Master, Certified ISTQB Foundation Level, Certified ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst & Test Manager, Certified System Analyst, Certified Leader Auditor of ISO 9000, and more. Mr. Linetzki received his MBA (cum laude) 2001 and his B.Sc. in Statistics 1994.Mr. Linetzki is a popular speaker in international testing conferences since 1995, co-founder of the Israeli Testing Certification Board (www.itcb.org.il), where he serves as VP marketing, and the founder and chair of SIGiST Israel (www.sigist.org.il, the Israeli Testing Forum). He is also a member of the ISTQB marketing working group.
